How much does a service visit cost?
Every visit starts with a flat $99.99 service fee, which covers labour, travel, testing, and cleanup — there are no hidden call-out charges. If you need new alarms installed, add them in the quote builder above to see your exact total before booking. If you only need an inspection or troubleshooting, the $99.99 fee covers that on its own — no products required.
Do you offer a seniors or veterans discount?
Yes. Seniors and veterans: ask for 10% off when you book. It's 10% off the job total (the service fee and alarms, before tax) for seniors 65 and over and for veterans. Just mention it in your booking request or when you call.
How quickly can you schedule a visit?
We accommodate same-day or next-day appointments based on availability, including evening and weekend appointments for alarms that won't stop chirping. Book online or call to check the next available time in your area.

What can I expect during a visit?
Richard installs or services your alarms to BC Fire Code, tests every unit in your home before he leaves, cleans up any debris, and backs the work with a 30-day satisfaction warranty.
What type of alarms do you install?
We carry two brands so we can match what is already in your home: Kidde 10-year sealed-battery photoelectric smoke and smoke/CO alarms, and BRK / First Alert 120V hardwired photoelectric alarms with a sealed 10-year lithium battery backup — the SM6W10A smoke alarm ($64.99 installed) and the SC6W10A smoke/CO combo ($94.99 installed). Every alarm we carry is photoelectric, the type preferred in BC. No off-brand substitutes — and if you have already bought your own alarms, we will install those too.
Can you install smoke alarms I have already bought?
Yes. We install customer-supplied smoke and CO alarms. The first 2 are included in the flat $99.99 service fee, and each additional alarm is $29.99 to install — no hardware charge. Alarms need to be new, within their manufacture date, and CSA/ULC-listed for Canada. Our 30-day warranty covers our workmanship; the alarm itself is covered by its manufacturer. If a unit is faulty or will not work with your existing wiring or interconnect, Richard can supply a replacement from the van at our published prices.
Do you service commercial fire alarm systems?
No. Our work is limited to residential smoke and carbon monoxide alarms for single-family homes, condos, and rental suites. Commercial fire alarm panels, pull stations, and monitored fire alarm systems require a licensed fire alarm contractor.
Do you work with strata councils or rental portfolios?
Yes. We provide bulk alarm replacements and BC Fire Code compliance documentation for strata councils, landlords, and property managers — visit our strata & landlord compliance page for details.
What happens if a suite can't be accessed during a multi-unit inspection?
If a suite is unavailable during a scheduled inspection — for example, no one is home — it will need to be added to a future scheduled visit rather than a separate return trip.
