Who to Call to Install or Replace Smoke Detectors in the Lower Mainland

Call a residential smoke and CO alarm specialist. I install and replace smoke detectors across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland for a flat $99.99 service fee plus the alarms at published prices, from $64.99 installed, seven days a week from 10am to 8pm.

What does a visit include?

The $99.99 service fee covers my labour, travel, testing and cleanup. I check the manufacture date on every alarm, install the new ones, match the brand on hardwired interconnects, test every unit and take the old ones away. Evenings and weekends cost nothing extra, and the work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.

What do the alarms cost?

Kidde and BRK / First Alert alarms, installed: smoke-only from $64.99, smoke and CO combos from $94.99. Every price is on the installation cost page. For a whole home, the Full House package covers 6 alarms in one visit. Seniors and veterans save 10%.

Why a specialist?

Smoke and CO alarms are all I do. I'm licensed, insured and veteran-owned, with 15+ years as a fire alarm technician and 100+ five-star Google reviews. Residential only: homes, condos, townhouses and strata suites.

Already bought your alarms?

I'll install them too. The first 2 are included in the service fee, then $29.99 each. See what I accept. Is yours beeping? Start with the chirping alarm page.

Frequently asked questions

Who installs smoke detectors in Vancouver?
The Smoke Alarm Doctor installs and replaces residential smoke and CO alarms across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Richard does every visit himself: a flat $99.99 service fee plus the alarms at published installed prices, from $64.99.
How much does it cost to have smoke detectors installed?
A flat $99.99 service fee per visit, plus each alarm at its installed price: Kidde sealed-battery smoke $69.99, BRK / First Alert hardwired smoke $64.99, hardwired smoke/CO combos from $94.99. Evenings and weekends cost nothing extra.
Do I need a specialist to replace expired smoke detectors?
Not required, but hardwired alarms need the right base and the same-brand interconnect, and expired units are easy to misdate. A specialist checks the manufacture date, matches the interconnect, tests every alarm and takes the old ones away.
Is a smoke detector the same as a smoke alarm?
In everyday use, yes. People say both. A smoke alarm senses smoke and sounds its own horn. Interconnected alarms sound together so every room hears it.
